🎾 The California Tennis Academy (CTA) and the Tennis Club Uetikon am See (tcu) have partnered since the Spring of 2022 to bring a full menu of summer tennis camps, group & private lessons, cardio tennis, club tournaments and more to the club!

Our Academy

Our goal is to maximize fun, exercise and improvement for each player.
Our philosophy is that where there's fun and enjoyment, there's serious motivation, and that’s the key to passion, and thereby rapid improvement in tennis.

Opening the doors to young people to try tennis and then continue supporting them through the learning stages is a top priority for us at the CTA.
Tennis can be a challenging sport to learn. Hence why we create a supportive atmosphere where positive reinforcement supports players to persevere, push beyond their limits and learn how to build mastery without loosing the fun and enjoyment of the game.

We call our 8 - 16 player group lessons - clinics.
We start off with group warm up games after which we divide into smaller groups where our coaches concentrate on technical improvement by running dynamic drills and competitive games in a more intimate setting.
No clinic ends without reuniting the entire group to play exciting group games such as Around the World, Gladiators, Stick-'um, Stations, Plums, Defend the Fortress, Blood’n’Guts, Prison - to name a few.
That’s how we maximize fun and motivation by ending on a high!

The Clinic model helps to promote enjoyment and motivation, creating a conducive atmosphere for student interactions, synergy and a feeling of belonging to something larger than themselves.
It promotes interaction, communication and teamwork between coaches.
It allows coaches to work with students with different ability levels, and exposes students to all of the coaches.
This model is dynamic and allows for more flexibility and mobility between ability levels and age.
